THEME DEVELOPMENT

The Development includes the choice of an event based on a specific Theme.
The Theme involves the creation of a Storyline.
The Storyline developed as a script must interconnect with the event schedule timeline.

VENUE

To fully capitalize on the potential of this concept, it is essential to carefully choose the venue and its shape.
A larger venue allows for a more impactful suggestion.

VENUE: DOME

A dome offers the best potential for this concept as it can be set up anywhere, including private properties.

For large-scale events, a 36-meter diameter dome can accommodate over 740 sitting guests, making it perfect for a surrounding and suggestive set design.

VENUE: RECTANGULAR SHAPE

The most frequently used venue shape is rectangular, which often comes with low ceilings.

It can be a limitation to create a suggestive theme, and it may not be able to support a powerful video projection.

However, with some creativity, it is still possible to create a storyline supported, if necessary, by an ordinary set design.

SET DESIGN: TRADITIONAL

The typical set design used in theater productions consists of elements placed on the stage for the actors to use and interact with.

Although it allows for any recreation for any desired environment, it is limited to the area in front of the audience, and any “surrounding” scenario is not feasible.

SET DESIGN: VIDEO PROJECTION

This technology has been present in the event industry for quite some time now, and it is particularly suitable for outdoor events that require a significant visual impact.

It can recreate any set design in a dynamic and three-dimensional style, making the experience more immersive for the audience.

This technology works best in large venues that have a circular shape.
It can be helpful in better comprehension if dynamic changes happen over time at the unfolding of the storyline.

STORYLINE

After choosing the theme, the storyline creation will function as the foundation for the script and set design.

The storyline can be proposed in several ways, such as through actors and extras or simply as a narration.

It will be the backbone of the event, and all other features will revolve around it.

SCRIPT

The script can be about anything, from a personal monologue to a historical documentary.

COMEDY

The comedy style is perfect for creating a fun atmosphere while maintaining historical significance. The script centers on actors’ performances and narration, bringing actual history to life creatively and humorously. A “light performance” will keep the audience entertained and engaged.

DRAMA

The Drama is when looking to tell a story based on exact historical facts. The script is centered around actor performances, bringing history to life with real excitement and minimal narration. It will create an atmosphere that will leave the audience on the edge of their seats.

DOCUMENTARY

The Documentary style is focused on portraying fundamental historical concepts in an objective tone with a neutral atmosphere. The script will be focused almost entirely on narration with minimal acting and live performance.

SOUNDTRACK

The soundtrack plays a crucial role as the connecting element in the Event timeline.

It primarily describes the central circumstances of the storyline and should be divided into three main segments that include:

Narration (before the scene action)
Acting performance (during the scene action)
Dinner time (when guests are eating food in between the acts)

It should be just instrumental without a singing voice, and it’s even better when the sound can represent certain situations within the actors’ performance without using words.

EVENT SCHEDULE TIMELINE

It’s crucial to have a meticulously planned timeline that covers any minimal details to ensure a successful event.

It should include every minimal action, that takes place on stage and during dinner time.

However, when a live stage performance is on schedule, it’s fundamental to avoid any empty time gaps.

ANNOUNCER OR PRESENTER

For smooth and seamless connectivity between the different steps, it is recommended to have an announcer or presenter who can professionally and efficiently link all the components together.

This person can be another historical character if it fits the theme.

ACTORS AND EXTRAS

When developing a storyline that involves acting and action, a group of professional actors is necessary for the event.

The actors, should be chosen based on their ability to fit the event’s mood and the characters of the theme storyline, as described in the script.

A rehearsal is essential to ensure that the characters will bring it to life in the most accurate way possible.

STAFF

The staff always plays a vital role in the event’s success.
They provide general services but can also actively participate as an active part of the event’s theme.

Each staff member will be a character’s theme that best matches their role in the service provided.

FOOD

The food is always a crucial aspect of any event. It’s important to conduct research and gather knowledge to develop a relevant menu based on the proposed era and theme.

Hiring a chef and service that can recreate the atmosphere of the chosen era is essential.
